Penetangore to compete in Kincardine

June 30, 2008 - The Penetangore Pipe Band is scheduled to field Grade 4 and 5 groups at the Kincardine Scottish Festival on July 5. This is the seventh time the band has competed at the event.

• 2002: 4th in Grade 4
• 2003: 4th in Grade 4
• 2004: 2nd in Grade 4
• 2005: 1st in Grade 4; 4th in Grade 5
• 2006: 3rd in Grade 3; 1st in Grade 5
• 2007: 2nd in Grade 3

Penetangore musicians in solo competitions at the event will include Elika Belet, William Belet, Frazer Fleming, Scott McGregor, Andy Millman and Lisa Moore. Former Penetangore players Zack Miller (Scottish Lion 78th Fraser Highlanders) and Glenn Walpole (Peel Regional Police) will also be competing in solo competitions.

To date in 2008, Penetangore has competed at Highland Games in Hanover (Grade 5 - 1st); Alma, Michigan (Grade 4 - 2nd and 3rd; Grade 5 - 3rd); and Chicago (Grade 4 - 1st).
